The return ticket lets you travel out on the first day and back the same day or within the following days, and includes Bratislava's buses and trams on the first day. Do you need to book the train in advance?
No. Reservations are neither needed nor possible: buy a ticket at the station or in the app and board.

Where does the train arrive in Bratislava?
At Bratislava hlavná stanica, the main station, about 15 minutes' walk from the Old Town.
Walk into the Old Town, or take a tram or bus, which the Bratislava Ticket covers on the first day.

What about the bus?
Slovak Lines buses run from Vienna's main station bus stops to Bratislava; the cheaper guided tours use these buses.
The first Bratislava stop is under the Most SNP bridge, right below the Old Town. The bus can be slower than the train in traffic.
